Decontamination Services

National Air Filter has extensive experience in room and hood decontamination. We have safely decontaminated thousands of Biosafety Cabinets (BSC) and BSL rated areas to ensure personnel and environmental safety.

According to National Institutes of Health (NIH) recommendations, decontamination is accomplished using gaseous paraformaldehyde. NAF engineers are certified to ensure decontaminations are conducted safely in compliance with OSHA guidelines, to eliminate work hazards in your facility.

Decontamination of equipment is required:

Before any maintenance work is undertaken on a cabinet.
Before HEPA filter replacement on a cabinet.
Prior to relocation of the unit to another area.
After a major spill of biohazardous agent.
Prior to storage.
